A crash involving a school bus carrying the Webster County volleyball team injured four people and forced the cancellation of their Tuesday game at Trigg County.
The crash occurred around 4:10 three miles south of Providence on Kentucky Highway 293 when the bus was side-swiped by a semi. According to a Facebook post on the Webster County Board of Education’s page, one student was taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment of injuries. Another bus came to the scene and took the uninjured students 12 miles back to the high school.
Webster County is scheduled to play at Todd County Central Thursday, but no announcement has been made concerning the game status. Trigg County will play at Murray Thursday.
