A trio of local basketball players have been selected to play in the KABC/Dawahares East-West All-Star Games to be played this weekend in Lexington.
Christian County’s Detorrion Ware and Hopkinsville’s Jalen Johnson will play on the West squad, who also includes Paducah Tilghman’s J.J. Reed, McCracken County’s Cam Cartwright, Webster County’s Chatman Ellis, and Warren Central’s Skyelar Potter.
Ware, the KABC Second Region Player of the Year, played in the Kentucky-Ohio All-Star game last weekend, scoring 10 points as Kentucky fell to Ohio 99-90.
In addition, Christian County’s Trinitee Jackson will play in the girls’ all-star game as part of a West squad that includes Murray’s Macey Turley. Jackson, who has signed to play at Arkansas State, was the KABC Second Region Player of the Year.
The girls’ game will be Saturday at 5:30pm at Transylvania University, while the boys will play at 7:30.
