Moussa Cisse, a 6-11, 210-pound junior who plays at Lausanne Collegiate School of Memphis, will play in the final game Thursday night at the Marshall County Hoopfest.
He’s a five-star center with scholarship offers already from Mississippi, Connecticut, Georgetown, Kansas, LSU, Memphis, St. John’s, Texas A&M, UCLA, USC, Virginia and Georgia.
And he also has a scholarship offer from Kentucky, which is why UK coach John Calipari apparently will be in Marshall County Thursday night from what various sources tell me.
Cisse is a consensus top 10 player in the 2021 recruiting class and is a low-post, physical player that Kentucky has been missing. He’s a terrific shot blocker and also runs the court well like Calipari likes his bigs to do.
Cisse played at Christ The King Regional in New York before transferring to Lausanne Collegiate in past August.
His team is scheduled to play at 8:30 p.m. Thursday against Callaway (Mississippi) and talented junior point guard Daeshun Ruffin, who put on a show at Hoopfest last year. He has scholarship offers from Auburn, Alabama, Houston, LSU, Mississippi St., Ole Miss, Southern Miss and UAB and is a top 25 player in his class.
This will be the only game Cisse will play at Marshall County and likely the only game Calipari will see since UK hosts Fairleigh Dickinson Saturday afternoon.
