Chuck Mitchell took over the Caldwell County girls’ basketball program this past spring after Malissa Thomas stepped down from that post.
Mitchell put his Lady Tiger team through its first scrimmage action on Saturday, with Caldwell beating Whitesville Trinity 49-37 before playing Hopkinsville to a 26-26 tie.
Afterward, Mitchell told YSE he was happy with his team’s first outing.
