Centre College has advanced to the NCAA Division III Soccer Sweet 16 for the first time in program history with a 3-1 win over John Carroll College Sunday.
Saturday, Centre won their tournament opener with a 1-0 win over Kalamazoo in University Heights, Ohio.
Centre was ranked No. 21 entering the postseason and knocked off No. 10 John Carroll on their home field that featured cold weather and snow throughout the day.
Former Hopkinsville All-Stater Ethan Noe is a starter for Centre (18-3-1), who will play Claremont, California in the Sweet 16 later this week.
