University Heights Academy senior libero Lily Hendricks has been named honorable mention all-state by the Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association.
Hendricks helped the Lady Blazers set a school record for wins this season. UHA finished the year 30-6, reaching the championship game of the 2nd Region tournament before falling to Henderson County in five sets.
Hendricks is one of three 2nd Region players named on the KVCA’s all-state selections.
Caldwell County junior outside hitter Olivia Mitchell has been named first-team all-state.
Madisonville-North Hopkins senior outside hitter Madison McCabe received honorable mention.
The KVCA announced its season awards on Monday.
Meanwhile, Anna DeBeer of Assumption High School in Louisville is the 2019 Ms. Kentucky Volleyball.
Junior libero Eleanor Beavin of Mercy Academy in Louisville is the 2019 KVCA Defensive Player of the Year.
Coach Ron Kordes of Assumption High School is the 2019 KVCA Coach of the Year.
KVCA All-State Teams are voted on by KVCA member coaches.
