
Todd County Central will see a familiar face when the Fourth Region Volleyball Tournament begins Monday at Glasgow High School. The Lady Rebels will play Clinton County at 7:30. The other quarterfinal in their bracket has South Warren playing Allen County-Scottsville.
The Lady Rebels are making their first region tourney appearance since 2016 and fourth in school history. They are 0-3 in their previous three trips to the region tournament.
Todd County (14-19) won a five-set thriller over Franklin-Simpson last week to advance to the 13th District title match where they fell to Logan County.
Todd’s first round opponent is Clinton County (25-7), the champions from the 16th District. The teams met Aug. 24 in the 4th Region All-A Classic Region title match in Elkton. Playing their second match of the day, the Lady Rebels fell in straight sets 25-19, 25-10.
Todd County is 0-4 against the region field, with three of the losses coming to district foe Logan County. Clinton County is 6-0 against the field with three wins against 16th District runner-up Russell County and two wins over Glasgow.
The Lady Rebels enter the region tourney with 14 wins – the most in a season for a Lady Rebel volleyball team since 2011.
