Caldwell County’s Max Ashley intercepted Murray’s two-point conversion pass with just 50 seconds left in the game to preserve Caldwell’s 42-40 victory Friday night.
Caldwell overcame a 17-point deficit in the contest, setting a school record for largest comeback ever after trailing 17-0 in the first quarter.
Caldwell coach Waynee McGowan said his team showed a lot of resiliency in rallying against a Murray squad that had won six straight games.
