The University Heights Academy volleyball team enjoyed a strong showing at the Western Kentucky Smackdown at the Hopkinsville Sportsplex on Friday and Saturday, finishing 4-1 with the only blemish a loss to Logan County.
The Lady Blazers fell 1-2 to the Lady Cougars by scores of 18-25, 27-26 and 4-15. Logan County would go on to lose 1-2 to Apollo in the gold match.
UHA swept Hopkinsville 2-0 (25-15, 25-16), McLean County 2-0 (25-10, 25-20) and Livingston Central 2-0 (25-19, 25-9), before knocking-off Christian County 2-1 (23-25, 25-15, 15-10) in the silver match.
The Lady Blazers will be back on the court on Monday when they host Christian Fellowship.
