University Heights Academy senior Weston Wood made his second appearance at the KHSAA State Golf tournament on Friday at Bowling Green Country Club, shooting a +7 79, good enough to make the cut and tying him for 41st place.
Wood shot a +5 41 on the front 9, before heating up for a +2 38 on the last 9 holes. His round included two birdies, eight pars, seven bogeys and a single double-bogey.
