What do summer softball games and region golf tournaments have in common? Not a lot, unless you are Hannah Sumner. The Christian County senior withstood the oppressive heat to nab one of the state qualifying spots with a round of 83 Monday. Sumner, who is also the starting pitcher for the Lady Colonel softball team, says Monday’s heat was nothing worse than years of playing in summer softball tournaments.
