Two early goals by Camryn LaGrange helped Madisonville-North Hopkins to an early lead over hosts Hopkinsville on Tuesday night, with the Lady Maroons recording their 13th win with a 4-1 victory. The 4 goals are the most Hoptown has allowed since a 4-0 loss to Marshall County on September 3.
The Lady Maroons built a 3-0 advantage in the first 15 minutes, with Camryn LaGrange scoring her region-leading 36th and 37th goals on either side of a strike by Katelyn Morris. Kensley Zieba found the back of the net with 7:35 left for the halftime margin.
The Lady Tiger defense improved after the break and held Madisonville scoreless for the final 40 minutes. With 5:17 to play, Keeli Miles got Hoptown on the board to avoid what would have been its fifth shutout loss of the season.
The Lady Tigers have a week off before they celebrate Senior Night on October 1 with a visit from Northwest, TN.
