Keeli Miles scored a late first half goal, and the Hopkinsville defense did the rest as the Lady Tigers posted a 1-0 win Tuesday at Muhlenberg County. It’s Hoptown’s first win by a 1-0 score since a 2008 victory over Lafayette.
Hopkinsville outshot the Lady Mustangs 18-4 on the turf at Muhlenberg County but had trouble converting them into goals. Vy Nguyen picked up the shutout in goal behind a stingy Lady Tiger defense. It’s Hopkinsville’s second straight shutout win and third this season as the Lady Tigers improved to 5-6. Muhlenberg County is also 5-6.
Hopkinsville travels to Caldwell County Thursday.
