A new season with a new coach officially got underway Monday evening for the Todd County Central Lady Rebels volleyball team. With new head coach Stephanie Conquest at the helm, the Lady Rebels hosted Muhlenberg County to kick things off for the year.
The Lady Mustangs came away with the straight set win, but as the night went on, there were signs of promise for a young Lady Rebels team.
Muhlenberg County opened fast and rolled through the first set 25-9. Todd Central made the Lady Mustangs work a bit harder in the second set, with Muhlenberg County eventually finding its way to a 25-18 win.
In the third and final set, Todd Central played some of their best volleyball of the night, before finally falling to the Lady Mustangs 25-23.
The Lady Rebels are back in action Tuesday night in a district matchup, as they host Franklin-Simpson.
