

The girls’ golf team at University Heights Academy has qualified for the All-A Classic State Tournament for the second straight year after winning the region title Saturday at Deer Lakes Golf Course in Salem.
Rheagan Lindsey shot a season-low score of 86 to lead UHA and finish third in the region. Crittenden County’s Lauren Gilchrist won the region title with an even-par 72.
Lyon County’s Cathryn Brown qualified for the state tournament for a second straight year with a score of 81.
Carsyn Jones of Livingston Central shot a 96 to finish in fourth place, followed by Maddie Huddleston of Dawson Springs (97), and Caldwell County’s Claire Knoth (98).
Conlee Lindsey shot a 106 for UHA, followed by Riley Johnson (126), Jessah Hayden (132), and Lexi Johnson (134).
The Girls’ All-A State Golf Tournament will be played Saturday, September 7 at the Arlington Golf Club in Richmond.
