Jhony Paniagua’s field goal with 40 seconds left in the game carried the Fort Campbell Falcons to the win in their final preseason scrimmage Friday night. Paniagua’s field goal put the Falcons in front and the defense held on over the final seconds to pick up the 10-8 win at Clinton County.
After having some problems last week in a loss to Webster County, the Falcon defense limited Clinton County to just one score.
The Falcon defense also set up the Falcons only touchdown in the game. Greysen Meyer came up with an interception on Clinton County’s first possession. That set up a touchdown pass from Matt Middleton to Ethan Tomerlin.
The Falcons finish the preseason at 1-1, and will now get ready to open the season next Friday night at home, when they host Crittenden County.
