Weston Wood was one of three University Heights Academy golfers to play in the Dawson Springs Invitational Saturday at Pennyrile Forest State Park. He shot a 78 to finish tied for 12th place.
Jiles Wyatt shot an 83 for the Blazers, while Jude Doer carded a 91.
Bowling Green’s Collier Curd and Marshall County’s Jay Nimmo tied for the lead with a 5-under 67. A thunderstorm rolled through the area just as the playoff was set to begin rendering the course unplayable. Curd was declared the winner via a scorecard playoff.
