After falling behind 6-0 early in the game, the Hoptown Hoppers twice rallied back to within one run against the Madisonville Miners on Tuesday.
However, the visiting Miners held on for an 8-7 victory at Hopkinsville High School’s Tiger Field in a playoff preview in the Ohio Valley League.
The Miners and Hoppers begin a three-game series Friday night, also at Hoptown.
