Xavier Bussell, who set the Hopkinsville High School record in the 100-meter dash in 2019, was named to the All-Area Track and Field First Team.
Bussell, who suffered a leg injury in the region meet, was named to the first team for all classes along with the 400 and 1600-meter relay teams.
The criteria used for All-Area honors by the Kentucky Track and Cross Country Coaches Association include their finish at the region meet, the state meet, and the Area 1 championships.
