Jiles Wyatt of University Heights Academy won the 16-18 age division while Trigg County’s Hunter Reynolds claimed the 13-15 group by one shot during the GO Junior Golf Series stop at Lakeshore Country Club in Madisonville on Friday.
Wyatt carded a 4-over-par 76 to earn medalist honors in the 16-18 division. He won by three shots over Madisonville’s Aaron Munger. Zackery Stanley of Madisonville was third with an 84. Hopkinsville’s Elijah Forbes tied for fifth with an 86.
In the 13-15 age group, Reynolds recorded an 83 to nip Christian County High School golfer Micah Smith by one stroke. Russellville’s Calloway Bills was third with a 99 over 18 holes.
In the boys 13-15 nine-hole division, Madisonville golfers Dreaw Lewis and Andrew Riggs, along with Hopkinsville’s Joey Falco, all tied at 48. Lewis won the event in a playoff.
Jackson Mayes of Leitchfield won the 11-12 age group with a 36 while Austin Crick of Madisonville was runner-up after shooting a 42. Hopkinsville’s Brady Hightower was fourth with a 49 and Haydon Reynolds of Cadiz was fifth with a 53.
In the 9-10 age group, Johnny Brown of Bowling Green shot a 30 to edge Madisonville’s Ben Crouch by one shot. Hoptown’s Matthew Flynn was fourth with a 35 while Hopkinsville’s Max Falco was fifth at 37.
The next GO Junior Golf Series event is set for Monday at Hillcrest Golf Course in Owensboro.
