Caldwell County’s Gabe East worked six innings while yielding only a single run on four hits to help the Tigers to a 4-1 victory in the opening game of the 2nd Region tournament on Monday morning. He also came through at the plate, singling-in what turned out to be the winning runs in the top of the sixth.
Afterward, East talked about his performance on the mound and said the Tigers need to be ready to play again Tuesday in their semifinal match-up with Christian County.
