Marshall County scored three times in the sixth inning to rally for a 7-5 win over Lyon County Friday in border baseball action in Draffenville.
Down 5-4, Marshall County tied the game on an infield error. A second Lyon error plated the go-ahead runs for the Marshals. The errors were the only two of the game for Lyon County.
Up 2-0 in the fourth inning, Lyon County scored two more runs when Gabe Board singled home two runs. Marshall County countered with four runs to tie the game 4-4 in the fifth inning.
Nick Whalin doubled home the go-ahead run in the sixth inning, before Marshall County (21-5) mounted their rally.
Board finished with three hits and two RBIs, while Jake Kleuppel added a solo home run in the first inning.
Jackson Shoulders took the loss on the mound, allowing four earned runs in 5.2 innings. He struck out two.
Brady Ives had two hits for Marshall County, who dropped an 8-6 contest to the Lyons in the season opener March 19.
Lyon County (18-8) will play Livingston Central in a key district matchup Monday in Smithland.
