Madisen Ireland, Trigg County’s leading scorer for the girls’ soccer team the past two seasons, will sign next month to continue her academic and athletic career at Union College in Barbourville.
Ireland will sign with the school on May 10. She finished her Trigg County career with 62 goals, which ranks in the top five all-time for the program. She scored 37 goals in 2017 in helping lead the Lady Wildcats to a district title and appearance in the region tournament semifinals. The all-district performer also finished with 10 assists.
Union College competes at the NAIA level and finished with a record of 4-11-1 last year.
