The Fort Campbell softball team fell 10-0 to Kenwood, TN on post on Friday night, the Lady Falcons’ third-straight loss since an 18-7 victory over Dawson Springs. Fort Campbell will be back on its home field on Saturday, as the 3rd Region’s Breckinridge County is scheduled to visit.
Fort Campbell pitcher Hannah Carbaugh held Kenwood to a single run in the first, and retired the Lady Knights in order in the second. However, Kenwood erupted for 9 runs on ten base hits in the third for the final score.
Carbaugh took the loss, yielding 10 hits with 6 walks and 4 strikeouts. Cadence Suding led the Lady Falcons with 2 hits, while Julie Curney also reached safely.
8th-grader Lizette Ceja, who played for Fort Campbell last season, led Kenwood with 3 hits and an RBI to go with 4 stolen bases. ChaCha Teasley went 2-3 with a run driven-in.
