
Logan County freshman Shelby Gettings pitched a perfect game against Todd County Central Tuesday, helping the Lady Cougars to a 16-0 win in 13th District play.
She struck out four and got solid defense behind her, needing just 62 pitches in the win. Gettings also homered as part of the 14-hit Logan County effort at the plate.
Logan scored four times in the first inning and put the game away with eight runs in the second inning.
Logan County (14-3) has won nine of ten games since losing to Lyon County and Trigg County the Franklin-Simpson Lady Cat Classic a month ago. They also improved to 3-0 in district play.
Todd County Central has lost eight straight games to Logan County dating back to 2016. The Lady Rebels (3-10, 0-4) will look to snap their three-game losing streak Thursday at University Heights Academy.
