
The Henderson County Lady Colonels used a big second inning to close out a three inning win over the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons Friday night at the Spring Break Bash in Murray. Henderson scored 11 runs in the second to seal a 16-0 three inning win.
Fort Campbell got their only hit of the game to lead things off in the top of the first inning when Emma Kaack singled to the right side. After that, Henderson County set down the next nine Lady Falcons in a row, eight of them by strikeout.
Henderson got things going quickly in their half of the first, scoring five runs. The Lady Colonels then took complete control of the game in the bottom of the 2nd, scoring eleven runs. Fort Campbell pitching struggled in the inning, giving up six walks and two hit batters.
