A former Caldwell County Tiger has reached a college coaching milestone.
Luther Bramblett picked up his 600th win on Saturday, when his Midway University baseball squad knocked off Ohio Christian University 15-1 in the first game of a doubleheader in Versailles.
Bramblett entered the season needing just 14 wins to reach 600. His squad is 15-14 this year after finishing off a three-game sweep of Ohio Christian in River States Conference action.
Bramblett started the program at Midway in 2016-17 and has collected 69 victories in his two-plus years at that school. Prior to making the move to Midway, Bramblett spent 15 seasons at St. Catharine College, where he recorded 532 of his now 601 career victories.
Bramblett is a 1989 graduate of Caldwell County High School.
Midway is next scheduled to host Lindsey Wilson College on Tuesday.
