Hoptown Scores Top 20 Finish at State NASP Tournament

Hopkinsville High brought home a top-20 finish Saturday at the Kentucky NASP State Tournament in Louisville.

Chandler Neighbors led the Hopkinsville archers with a score of 288. He finished 58th out of 1,221 male competitors in the event.

Noella Tucker led the ladies with a score of 285, which was good for 57th place out of 1,145 archers.

Jeremy Leek – 279 (214th place)
Connor Thomas – 277 (274th place)
Joshua Rivera – 277 (279th place)
Lucas Ballard – 272 (423rd place)

GIRLS
Mary Poe – 282 (106th place)
Lanie Brumfield – 279 (160th place)
Samantha Cordle – 276 (222nd place)
Rayne Porter – 267 (500th place)
Shelby Sparks – 262 (633rd place)

Hopkinsville’s score of 3,352 was their second-highest of the archery season. Madison Central (3,449) won the state title.  The Tigers finished 18th out of 107 teams in the high school division.

Hopkinsville now prepares for the KHSAA Region 1 Tournament Saturday in Henderson.
