There’s a bit of a different feel around the Hopkinsville baseball team this season, as the Tigers return all but one player from last season’s 9-22 group. Junior Layne Jorgensen is one of the returnees the Tigers will rely on as both a pitcher and infielder.
Before Tuesday’s scrimmage with Warren East, Jorgensen talked about the benefits of bringing back so much leadership from the previous season, and feels the Tigers could find themselves at the top of the 8th-District heap when the postseason rolls around.
