The Todd County Central girls’ basketball team endured a couple of frigid quarters on Thursday night, sending it to a 63-35 defeat at Allen County-Scottsville.  The Lady Rebels slip to 4-19 on the year, and will close out the regular season with a visit from Butler County on Friday night.  The Lady Patriots win their third-straight and seventh in eight tries to move to 20-6 overall.

Sarah Sutton scored 12 points and Mason Towery added 10 to give the Lady Patriots a 24-14 lead after the first quarter.  The Lady Rebels got 6 points from Amy Brumfield, but combined for only a single point in the second quarter to trail 42-15 at the halftime break.

Brumfield kept the hot hand with 9 in the third, but the Lady Rebels couldn’t make up any ground and were down 30 with 8 minutes to play.  With the game decided, the teams combined for only 8 points in the fourth, and the Lady Patriots cruised to the 28-point win.

Sutton and Towery did most of the damage for the Lady Patriots, scoring 26 and 21 points, respectively.

Brumfield was the lone Lady Rebel in double figures with 18, followed by Paige Rager and Jordan Weathers with 6 each.
