A solid win for the Heritage Christian Lady Warriors Friday night. HCA’s defense allowed Glasgow Christian only one field goal and one free throw in the first quarter, as the Lady Warriors took control of the game early and never looked back on their way to a 44-23 win.

With their defense leading the way, the Lady Warriors took an 11-3 lead after the opening quarter. Chelsea Dortch and Kinley Deason came up with all of the points for HCA in the first eight minutes.

The defense for Heritage continued to keep the clamps on Glasgow in the 2nd quarter. HCA would only give up six points in the quarter, as they pushed the lead on out to 27-9 at the break. Again, it was Dortch and Deason doing most of the damage for the Lady Warriors.

Not much changed coming out of the locker room at the beginning of the second half. HCA’s defense again held Glasgow to under ten points in the quarter, as the Ladu Warriors effectively put the game away by extending their lead to 38-16.

The Lady Warriors took advantage of the big lead to get some younger players some on the court action during the 4th quarter, as they closed out the 21 point win.

Chelsea Dortch topped the scoring column for the Lady Warriors with 16 points. Kinley Deason had 12 points. Maggie Britton added 8 points for HCA.

Glasgow Christian was led by Camden Short with 17 points, 12 of which came at the line.
