The hot shooting of Lyon County’s Gabe Board and Travis Perry carried the Lyons to a 69-40 blowout win over the Fort Campbell Falcons on Thursday night.

The two teams met at Fort Campbell, both heading in opposite directions towards the end of their seasons. Fort Campbell had lost nine consecutive games while Lyon County had won six of their previous eight.

Perry led the way on offense with a game-high 23 points, which included a 14-point first half. Board wasn’t far behind, scoring 20 with 13 in the second quarter alone.

Jackson Shoulders also contributed to the offensive outburst, netting 12 points for the Lyons.

Starting forward Cameron Johnson was the lone Falcon to score in double figures, posting 11.

The Lyons jumped out to a 41-20 halftime lead and never looked back, earning their 15th victory of the season. For the Falcons, it was the team’s 15th loss.

Up next for Lyon County (15-8) will be a Saturday matchup with St. Mary in the Lyon County Classic. Fort Campbell (5-16) will look to snap their losing skid at Christian County on Monday.
