The 2019 Caldwell County baseball team will open the regular season at home on Monday, March 18.
The Tigers will host longtime rival Crittenden County at the VFW Ballpark that day, according to the schedule recently released by Caldwell head coach Bradley Stallins.
Stallins begins his 17th season at the Tiger helm, compiling a 283-212-1 record in that time.
Caldwell has a pair of important 7th District games early in the season, hosting Madisonville-North Hopkins on Tuesday, March 26, and visiting the Maroons on Thursday, March 28.
All of the district dates will be Tuesday-Thursday matchups. Caldwell goes to Hopkins County Central on April 16, then hosts the Storm on April 18. The Tigers visit Dawson Springs on April 23 before hosting the Panthers on April 25.
The 7th District tournament will be played at Hopkins Central in late May. Caldwell has won seven straight district titles.
Caldwell’s 2019 schedule includes the Bowling Green Spring Break Tournament April 4-5.

The Tigers are scheduled to play their first preseason scrimmage on Saturday, March 9, at McLean County. A home scrimmage is set against Union County on Thursday, March 14.
Caldwell was 23-7 last season but lost to Union County in the first round of the 2nd Region tournament. The Tigers graduated six key seniors off of last year’s squad
Caldwell won back-to-back 2nd Region championships in 2016 and 2017.
The Tigers have topped the 20-win plateau each of the past four seasons and six times in the last seven years.
