Missed free throws late cost Fort Campbell in their 51-44 home loss to Crittenden County Friday on post.
The Falcons missed 13 free throws in the fourth quarter and hit just 15-of-41 for the game. Not helping matters was a 20-percent shooting performance from the floor.
Crittenden led 17-15 at halftime and 30-26 after three quarters. The missed free throws kept the Falcons from overtaking the Rockets at several key spots in the game.
Cameron Johnson had 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Falcons. Cameron Pratt scored seven points, and Jaylen Allen had six points and nine boards.
Gabe Mott scored 11 of his game-high 16 points in the fourth quarter to lead Crittenden County (7-12). Hunter Boone added 11 points.
Fort Campbell (5-14) will play at University Heights Tuesday in an Eighth District contest.
