The Hopkinsville Lady Tigers’ three-game losing skid came to a halt on Tuesday night following their home matchup with the Hopkins County Lady Storm. In a competitive 65-58 victory, the Lady Tigers needed every ounce of senior point guard Breon Oldham. Oldham exploded for 30 points via five twos, three threes and 11 made free throws.

Despite Oldham accounting for nearly half of her team’s points, fellow seniors Jayla Rose and Yogi McKnight also reached double figures. McKnight (14) and Rose (11) were efficient in the win. Rose added to her contributions with a 11-rebound, double-double performance.

Freshman forward Donisha Flowers grabbed a team-high 12 boards.

For the Storm, Keira James led the way with 15 points in the loss.

After starting the season with a 7-1 record, Hopkinsville is just 6-9 over their last 15 outings. However, a win looks like it could get things back on track for the Lady Tigers.

On deck for Hopkinsville is a trip to Northeast (Clarksville), with tip-off set for 6 P.M.
