Paducah has not been good to Christian County this year. The Colonels lost their third game to a school from McCracken County and second in as many days as Paducah Tilghman pulled away for a 75-64 win Friday at Otis Dining Gymnasium.
Tilghman closed strong at the end of the third quarter for a 54-49 lead and used a 7-2 run to start the final quarter and keep the Colonels at bay. Christian County led 20-19 after one quarter and 37-36 at halftime.
Eric Brody scored 12 of his 22 points in the first quarter to help stake the Colonels to their early lead. Fred Tandy and Stephon Bussell both added 14 points for Christian County, who dropped a 52-50 decision to McCracken County Thursday.
Michael Laster and Rodriguez Thomas both led Paducah Tilghman (8-6) with 17 points. Avery Strayhorn added 14 points.
While both teams shot over 50-percent from the field, the teams also combined for 39 turnovers.
Christian County (7-8) will play at Fort Campbell Saturday in an Eighth District contest on post.
