Trigg County placed eight runners on the All-Area 1 Team, announced Sunday by the Kentucky Track and Cross Country Coaches Association.
Lexi Ricks was named to the Class 2A, Area 1 First Team, while Livi Ricks, Grace Hill and DeDe Barbee were named to the Second Team.
Austin Cavanaugh was named to the Class 2A Area 1 Second Team and Area 1 Middle School Second Team. Riley Thompson was named to the Middle School Second Team also.
Trinity Cavanaugh and Reese Bush were named to the Area 1 Middle School Second Team.
Madisonville’s Christian Parker, who won the Class 3A race was named the boys’ Area 1 runner of the year, while Madisonville’s Michael Watts was named coach of the year.
McCracken County’s Maggie Aydt was named the girls’ Area 1 runner of the year for all classes. McCracken County’s Maria Grogan was named girls’ coach of the year.
