Trigg County had three wrestlers qualify for the state wrestling meet in 2017, and all three are ranked in the 2018 preseason rankings by kentuckywrestling.com.
Defending region champion Colin Stevens, who finished third place at the state meet, is ranked second in the 160-pound class and first in the region.
Ethan Futrell, who finished second at region, is ranked 13th in the 126-pound class and second in the region. Futrell may miss some early action due to an injury sustained in practice earlier this month.
Isaac Aguiar, who finished fourth at region in the 132-pound class, moves up to the 138-pound class where he is ranked 20th in the division and second in region.
Defending state champion Union County is ranked first in the statewide preseason rankings. Christian County is ranked fourth, followed by McCracken County (16th), Trigg County (32nd), Caldwell County (34th), and Fort Campbell (36th).
Trigg County opens their wrestling season Saturday at the Oldham County Super Duals.
