In a game moved up a day to avoid inclement weather, the Logan County Cougars blanked Todd County Central 28-0 Thursday night in Elkton.  The Senior  Night loss drops to Rebels to an even 5-5 heading into a first-round playoff match-up at Murray next week.  Logan County wins its second-straight after its first loss of the season and closes the regular season at 9-1.  The Cougars will be at home in the opening game of the playoffs, hosting Allen County-Scottsville.

Two first-quarter touchdowns, the first a 79-yard strike from Logan County quarterback Nate Woodall to Dontavius Blann, and the second a short TD run by Gary Hardy, gave the Cougars a 14-0 lead.  Early in the second quarter, Woodall connected with Maurice Gordon for a 28-yard score, with the two hooking up again in the third for a 44-yard TD.  Neither team could put points on the board in the final quarter, and the Cougars wrapped up the 28-0 victory.

Woodall finished 8-25 for 217 yards and 3 scores with two interceptions.  Hardy led the way on the ground with 177 yards on 29 carries with a touchdown, while Gordon hauled in 4 catches for 110 yards and two scores.

For the Rebels, quarterback Bryce Nolan was 5-15 for 25 yards with an interception.  Nolan also led the team with 21 yards on 11 carries, followed by JaTwan Graham with 19 yards on 12 attempts.  D.J. Johnson accounted for all but 1 yard through the air, catching one pass for 24 yards.  Jaquavion Mimms recorded 6 tackles to lead the Todd County defense.
