
WKU’s Mary Joiner earned her fourth top-15 finish in as many tries this season Sunday, leading the Lady Topper Golf team at Louisville’s Cardinal Cup.
Joiner tied for 15th with a 223 (73-76-74) total at the par-72, 6,303-yard UofL Golf Club. So far this season, the junior has two victories, an 11th-place finish and this week’s 15th-place performance.
The Lady Toppers finished ninth as a team at 933 (306-320-307) in the field that featured 10 Golfstat Top 100 programs.
Junior Bailey Tyree tied for 40th with a 233 (77-79-77) total, while sophomore Megan Clarke (239) shot her best score of the season Sunday with a final-round 74.
Freshman Lizzie Loy and junior Abigail Smee finished at 241 and 251, respectively.
Illinois won both the team title at 863 and the individual medalist honors with Tristyn Nowlin’s 210.
