
Trigg County has been added to the lineup of the annual Marshall County Hoopfest that concludes the first week of the high school basketball season.
The Wildcats will play the host Marshall County Marshals on the event’s first night, Thursday, Nov. 29 at 8:30.
It will be Trigg County’s fifth appearance at the Hoopfest, which annually brings in some of the top teams and players in the nation in addition to those in Kentucky. Trigg went 2-2 from 2003-06, including a 74-47 loss to Marshall County in their last appearance in 2006.
Other teams in the field include University Heights (Nov. 30 vs. Callaway, MS); Madisonville (Nov. 30 vs. Belleville West, Ill.); and Lyon County (Dec. 2 vs. Elliott County).
Trigg County opens their season Nov. 27 at Dawson Springs.
