Hopkinsville’s Anna Blane shook off a slow start to shoot a 97 and help the Lady Tigers finish 12th at the Marshall County Golf Invitational Saturday at the Calvert City Country Club.
The freshman began her round with a 12 on the par-4 14th hole. She then played bogey golf over the final 17 to shoot in double-digits for the first time over 18 holes.
Anna Fort shot a 111 for the Lady Tigers, followed by Ava Colburn (119), Audrey Rains (129), and Ellie Colburn (131).
As a team, Hopkinsville shot a 456 to finish in 12th place.
South Warren’s Faith Martin won the event with a 1-over 73. Marshall County’s Hallie Riley was one shot back in second place, and Graves County’s Nicole Taylor shot a 75 to finish in third place.
Marshall County won the team title on their home course with a score of 312 followed by South Warren (321) and Graves County (329).
