Trigg County has five teams on their 2018 football schedule that are ranked in the preseason top 10 of their respective classes.
The Wildcats open the season Aug. 17 against Monroe County in the Glasgow Scottie Bowl. Monroe, who beat Trigg County 44-17 last year, is ranked tenth in the Bluegrasspreps.com Class 2A Rankings.
Other ranked teams on the schedule are Crittenden County (Aug. 31), ranked No. 7 in the BGP Class 1A Poll; Russellville (Sept. 14), ranked eighth in the Lexington Herald-Leader Class 1A Poll; Paducah Tilghman (Sept. 28), ranked seventh by the H-L; Caldwell County (Oct. 5), ranked seventh by BGP and eighth by the Herald-Leader.
Trigg County will scrimmage at Logan County Friday.
