Anna Moore has won an amateur title at the state level. Now, the Murray State golfer is looking to add a U.S. Women’s Amateur golf title to her resume.

Moore tees off Monday morning at 8:06 in the first round of the U.S Women’s Amateur at the Golf Club of Tennessee outside of Nashville.

The former University Heights Academy standout last month became the first back-to-back winner of the Kentucky Women’s Amateur in nearly 30 years. She will be joined in her group by 2014 amateur champion Kristen Gillman, who is enjoying an All-American career at the University of Alabama, and high school senior Meiyi Yan. Gillman won the tournament the year after Princeton’s Emma Talley won the amateur title.

Moore will play a round of golf on both Monday and Tuesday. The top 64 players will then compete in match play competition. Preliminary rounds are 18 holes while the final round is 36 holes.

The Golf Club of Tennessee is located in Kingston Springs, 23 miles west of Nashville in southern Cheatham County. The Tom Fazio designed course opened in 1991.
