Hoppers Fall to Dubois County 10-9 in Extras

Dubois County pushed across a run in the tenth inning to hand the Hoptown Hoppers a 10-9 loss Friday night at Colonel Field. While the Hoppers kept their divisional lead in the West, the Bombers moved into first place in the OVL East.

The Hoppers bounced back from an 8-2 deficit with five runs in the fourth inning and two more in the seventh inning.

Cole Cummings, Nick Proto, and Cody Hartness each had two hits for the Hoppers, while Proto and Elias homered.

The Hoppers will finish the regular season with six of their final seven games at home. They have doubleheaders with Muhlenberg County Saturday and with Owensboro Monday. Saturday’s twinbill begins at 6pm.
