Easton McGee got a no-decision for the Class A Hudson Valley Renegades Wednesday in an 8-7 win at the Brooklyn Cyclones.
The former Hopkinsville High Mr. Baseball allowed five earned runs in five innings in his second start of the season. He allowed nine hits and struck out four while walking none. He left the game with the Renegades trailing 5-4 after five innings. A run in the sixth inning took McGee off the hook for the loss.
The Renegades, a minor league affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, are 3-3 and now a full game behind the Cyclones, who play their home games just off the Coney Island Boardwalk in Brooklyn.
