For the first time in four years, the Second Region girls’ tennis team championship trophy is returning to Caldwell County. Buoyed by a championship in both singles and doubles, Caldwell County defeated Madisonville to win the team trophy.
Belle Englebright repeated as singles’ champion and faced teammate Maddie Morgan in the title match. The doubles team of Hana Dixon and Chasie Phelps also repeated as region champs to help Caldwell secure the points needed.
Caldwell won three straight girls’ region titles from 2010-12.
