Christian County’s all-time leading scorer in basketball signed Friday to continue his hoops career at Jacksonville State University. Detorrion Ware put his name to paper and joins former Colonel teammate Tyrik Edwards at the Ohio Valley Conference school.
Ware leaves with 2,314 career points, tops in Colonel program history. He averaged 32 points and nine rebounds in being named All-District, All-Region, KABC Region Player of the Year, Second Team All-State, and was named to the All-Bluegrasspreps.com Team.
Ware admitting joining Edwards at Jacksonville State was one of the reasons why he chose the Gamecocks, coached by former Western Kentucky coach Ray Harper and assisted by Hopkinsville native Tommy Wade.
