A nine-run third inning was all Trigg County needed to beat Hopkinsville 14-0 in the first game Saturday of their Lady Cat Invitational at the Complex.
Autumn Durham and Adri Phillips each had three hits as the Lady Wildcats banged out 15 hits in the game. Logan Darnall drove in three runs before leaving with an ankle injury.
Kara Southwood, Hannah Colbert, and Phelan Dossett each had a pair of hits for Trigg County.
Shelby Harbour and Morgan Hodge had Hopkinsville’s two hits in the game.
Colbert struck out seven in three innings to get the pitching win.
