Gabe Board tripled twice to back the pitching of Max Wadlington as Lyon County scored a 13-3 district win at Crittenden County Thursday.
Board was one of five Lyons to drive in two runs on the night. He, along with Gunnar Bingham and Jake Kleuppel drove in two runs with a pair of hits. Keaton Bridges drove in a pair of runs on three hits, including a double.
Wadlington needed only 79 pitches to pick up the complete game win for the Lyons. He struck out six and allowed seven hits. He also helped himself at the plate with two hits and two runs scored.
The contest was scoreless for three innings before the Lyons struck for three runs in the fourth, six in the fifth, and four more in the seventh.
Cody Belt had two hits for Crittenden County (1-11, 0-5).
Lyon County snapped a three-game losing streak and improved to 5-4 overall and 1-1 in the district. The Lyons travel to Madisonville Friday.
